Our Blog

We are celebrating 50 years in business at our first event of 2020, the IPPN Education Conference 20 at the fantastic Citywest Hotel, Saggart, Co Dublin.  The EMS team are at stands K3 and K4 and look forward to meeting up with old acquaintances as well as new.   There is plenty of delicious coffee, chocolate and wine available on our stand so drop by and help us celebrate!

As part of our 50th Birthday celebrations there is a FREE DRAW with a fabulous prize of sports equipment worth €900.  A really great prize for any school.

EMS Copiers continue to support the amazing work done by Children in Hospital Ireland.  The proceeds of our Christmas Jumper Day collection will hopefully help go some way to making hospital stays a little easier on children and their parents.

Children in Hospital Ireland is the only charity managing such a voluntary service in Irish hospitals.  By providing engaging and supportive play in wards, playrooms, emergency departments and outpatient departments, CHI volunteers nurture curiosity and creativity and provide distraction from the stress of being in hospital.

The team at EMS Copiers would like to wish our customers and friends a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

The office will close for Christmas on Friday 20th December at 4 pm returning on Thursday 2nd January at 9 am.

Your office printer, going about its everyday business of copying, printing, faxing and scanning, might not seem to pose any real security risk.  But like any networked device that stores sensitive data, if not properly managed it can be vulnerable to unauthorised access and misuse.

To combat this, the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) is now a standard element of the 2507ci and 3207ci. This security chip encrypts confidential information on the device and is stored in a dedicated storage area. This storage area cannot be read from outside the TPM, meaning confidential information can be safely protected. Of course, this office printer has lots more to offer: flexibility, faster, better quality, more environmentally friendly and increased efficiency.

HIGHLIGHTS:

Less paper: Get one step closer to a paperless office with
the document feeder with ultrasonic sensor, which offers
multi-feed detection*. Documents can be digitised at a rate of
up to 180 pages per minute (300 dpi, b/w and colour) – and most
importantly, they can be scanned in a more relaxed manner. Errors
during scanning are avoided thanks to the ultrasonic sensor.
Additionally, the integrated HyPASTM interface makes it possible to use
a range of different HyPASTM applications, as well as to incorporate
customer-specific software solutions that will make your work more
sustainable and require less paper.

Safer: Security in office communication is a challenge for any company. To address this, our systems already met current safety standards in a basic configuration. This security solution protects your office printer and confidential information from the very beginning, at the system level: it overwrites and encrypts copy, scan and print data even before it’s saved to disk. In addition, the memory area for output data is automatically wiped clean, preventing it from being restored.

More flexible: The new MFPs have adapted excellently to the increased need for greater flexibility. From the paper capacity
(up to 7,150 sheets) and formats (A6R to SRA3) to the paperweights (52 to 300 g/m²) the new systems also offer a wide range of finishing options.  For example, an internal 500-sheet finisher with multi-position stapling and a two- and four-hole punch.

Cleaner: Today, environmental standards have to be constantly updated. For us, this presents not only a challenge but also an
incentive to design our systems in an environmentally friendly way. We achieve this through improved TEC values, use of longlasting components, high maintenance intervals and low noise emissions. We’re always thinking ahead!
